GFB Fisheries Ltd is Australia’s premier fin fish aquaculture company. We operate two major fisheries in North Queensland, Australia with a current production capacity of 1,500 tonnes of fin fish annually.

bowen fishery
Our Bowen fishery is located at Good Fortune Bay, 40 km north of Bowen in North Queensland. This facility is the most technologically advanced and environmentally friendly aquaculture project in Australia. It features a 3,500 sqm world class hatchery, a 1,000,000 litre nursery and a 24 raceway growout facility.

kelso fishery
Our Kelso fishery is located in Thuringowa and is just 30 minutes by car from the CBD of Townsville North Queensland. This facility is widely regarded as one of the best recirculation aquaculture operations in Australia. It features a significant nursery and 60 growout ponds.

We are Australia’s premium supplier of saltwater barramundi with product from plate size to two kilogram fish. Our hatchery supplies barramundi fingerlings from 30mm to 120mm to Australia’s barramundi industry.
